High Blood Sugar Spikes

    Body automatically produces and floods blood stream with fat making insulin to attempt to rid blood stream of excess sugar, when confronted with dangerous spikes.

  1. This Insulin Will Force Muscle Cells To Absorb Abnormally High Sugar.

Damage is progressing and situation worsens over time once started and best you can do now with great effort is to "slow it". (control it, optimistic name given)
What Causes High Sugar Peaks
  • Lack of exercise or being lazy and sedentary will not cause in itself cause high sugar peaks.
    With no high sugar input there will be no peak. Exercise will however burn some sugar and empty some and make room by burning sugar and thereby make a place for you to get away with eating a little high sugar. (BG) stands for blood glucose, sticky word for blood sugar.

  • Eating refined sugar will not itself cause a high sugar peak. The total must be there and if mixture of high starch and sugar french fries. (higher glycemic then pure sugar itself) is present, and you add a drink with sugar, then together you exceeded your bodies ability to handle sugar, the resulting peak is not because one of these was labeled sugar.

  • Eating too much fat DOES NOT cause high blood sugar spikes. In fact high fat digests slowly and added to high glycemic food slows the digestion and sugar release speed. It is a factor in lowering spikes not increasing them.

  • Eating too much (quantity of any food) does NOT raise blood sugar spikes unless it is high glycemic or sugar content.

  • Eating a large steak does not raise a blood sugar spike.

  • Drinking one 12 oz Coke with equivalent of 7 teaspoons of high fructose corn syrup. (worse kind of sugar in all pop) will cause a sugar spike. It is what you input, not quantity unless sugar content.
Fast Fix For Sugar Spikes

  1. Immediately stop all eating ANYTHING with refined sugar, flour, and cereals.

  2. Stop eating root vegetables cooked, (no potatoes etc) eat raw only carrots, onions and garlic.

  3. Stop eating fruit except very small quantities at a time.

  4. Absolutely NO fruit juices. (causes extreme sugar spikes, added sugar or not)

  5. Stop eating peanuts and cashews, eat as many other nuts as you can, you NEED the Omega 3 fats.

  6. Cut out dairy, since many (86%) can not correctly handle milk sugar except when eaten as full fat unsweetened plain Yogurt and is pre digested by bacteria culture.

  7. Butter (especially grass grown) has no lactose and is a health food, eat all you can comfortably as help to get full benefit from vegetables. (fat needed with salads etc also use coconut, olive or flaxseed oil.)

  8. Add apple cider vinegar to salads. Avoid commercial salad dressings, especially those with trans fat or high fructose corn syrup.

    Use your finger prick test meter to read your BG levels. Peaks are affected by many things besides food. Learn with regular readings what these other factors are and how to control them.

    Learn to control your sugar peaks, you will soon realize you can eat all you want, whenever you want (of these foods) stop going to the gym and lay around. control your diabetes and get thin,
    You can of course exercise and speed up the process, but not crucial.
